We're only three months away from HOOP MAGIC!
This is the start of my details and info communication to YOU: A most creative and wonderful individual who seeks out amazing experiences at gatherings of like minded Hoop Geeks, Dancers and the grooviest of Body Movers and Shakers.
You are about to participate in the LARGEST most SUPER CHARGED gathering of Hoop Dancers outside of Burning Man! Get ready to ROCK!
Previous Hoopcamps have confirmed a Hoopers ability to FLOW through the DETAILS and effortless surrender to logistics, embracing changes and making adjustments when needed to enjoy a very action-packed weekend.
THIS year will be TESTING everyone's abilities to SURRENDER to CHANGE.
THIS year, I've been called to trust my intuition and my event planning prowess by making a STALL MID-FLOW and pushing into my OUT-FLOW in order to create a new SPACE for HOOPCAMP this year and into the future.
THE BREAKING NEWS: As of JULY 1st 2010, HOOPCAMP 2010 has a VENUE CHANGE. Most everything will stay the same except now we will be gathering at THE PEMA OSEL LING TIBETAN BUDDIST RETREAT in the REDWOODS of the SANTA CRUZ, CA MOUNTAINS.
All the info will be up on the website by July 3rd, including new directions and a map to the property. It's ONLY 13 miles from the freeway and really only about 40 miles from our previous location at Lupin.

I have found us a very wonderful slice of paradise to gather, play and grow! There were too many flags and issues at our other new venue, LUPIN, that were starting to create big challenges.
A few of the big issues that sent me exploring other options were:
We weren't going to have exclusive use of the property and would have to share the space with a nudist retreat center.
A few issues that had been MAYBES turned into BIG NO'S
We were not going to be able to spin fire at the location.
We were not able to take photographs or video.
We were not able to play amplified music into the evening. Lupin had been a spot for many Burning Man and DJ music events, but it seems as if they managed to piss off there neighbors and were starting the year off with playing music inside the dining area only. This completed my decision after checking out a DJ music event that had lost its MOJO because of the limitations set by the Lupin community and the surrounding area.
I made the decision to go from the 'Nudists to the Buddhists' because:
I wanted us to be able to have exclusive use of a property
I wanted an organic chef that has been with the property for many years ( he has been at Pema Osel Ling for 20 years with an amazing reputation)
I wanted a chef that could inspire us with exciting menus to satisfy every diet using local bounty from Santa Cruz -the most diverse organic farming regions of the world!
I wanted us to be able to spin fire on location
I wanted us to be in the redwoods at a beautiful, spiritual and magical spot that we will be able to fit into easily and come back to with ease into the future.
I wanted a place, a staff and a community that embraces and resonates with our Hoop Magic. The founder of the Tibetan Retreat center, Lama Tharchin Rinpoche, an accomplished Tibetan Lama of the Nyingma tradition, has an amazing spirit and we will be very blessed to play within the Mandalas and Peace Stupas he and his community have created.
What this all means to YOU:
Everything will FLOW beautifully into our NEW VENUE:
All BRING YOUR OWN TENT packages will be honored. Tent spaces are in the shady REDWOODS and will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis during registration on Thursday, Sept. 30th. All RV spaces will be honored although not all will have hook-ups. I will be contacting all RV folks individually. ALL YURT and SHARED CABINS will be honored in bunk cabins and two large houses. All SHUTTLES Fees will stay the same. ALL TENT RENTALS will be available.
HOTEL BOOKINGS:
You will need to cancel your reservation at the LOS GATOS LODGE and rebook a hotel.
THE HOTEL that I recommend is the BEST WESTERN SEACLIFF INN which is about 20 miles from Pema Osel Ling. You will need a car to get to the retreat center.

The Hotel is near shopping and within walking distance of the ocean.
ALL PRIVATE ACCOMMODATIONS:
These are limited and I will be contacting each person directly in the next week to accommodate your package in our new venue.
All Tent and Bunk House accommodations will have shared bathhouses with private showers within walking distance.
Those in the two large houses will have indoor bathrooms and showers.
This year our experience will be a true Hoop CAMP! More rustic than Kennolyn, but still including all and more from previous years: A pool, a longer weekend without having to raise the package prices, our Hooper's cocktail hour, TWO Massage therapists, great food, amazing company and inspiring workshops, snacks, and a beautiful place to find your experience!
What you might find?
Maybe it's Flow, a new Hooper friend or professional connection, a new hoop or costume, or all that HOOP GRACE everyone talks about or even some CIRCULAR CIRCUS SPUNK and attitude, or just yourself being YOU in HOOP BLISS!

PLEASE realize that I do have a small group of helpers this year, but it's mostly me in Hoop service to you all in creating the most amazing experience for you all to play within! The days that I commit to Hoopcamp are TUESDAY'S, FRIDAYS and SATURDAYS. So if you haven't heard from me, you can usually expect a reply then.
