Sacred Dance & Yoga of the Elements

SACRED DANCE & YOGA OF THE ELEMENTS  Embrace and embody the elements of Fire, Air, Earth, Water, and Ether with a fusion of Bellydance, Samba, Afro-Brazilian, and Indian Dance. Accompanied with a Kundalini and Vinyasa Yoga warm up and a Qi Gong cool down, this workshop will take you on a journey through the elements, open your heart, and awaken your body, mind, and spirit.

BIO: With a background in dance since the age of three, Briana Kai has been exploring creative movement her whole life. Beginning with Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Hip Hop, and later expanding into Salsa, Samba, Belly Dance, Afro-Brazilian, and Odissi Indian Temple Dance, artistic fusion has become culmination of years of exposure to diverse styles and dance cultures. Finding deep healing in the sacredness of movement and the devotion of dance, naturally Briana was drawn to develop a regular yoga practice to compliment her dancing. Completing her Pilates certification with Polestar Pilates in 2008, she began to explore the therapeutic and healing qualities of various movement modalities.  Teaching dance and movement to children of all ages since she was ten years old, Briana loves to share practices to elevate and empower the youth to be conscious co-creators of their own reality and honor the body temple. As an accomplished singer, music has a great impact in her practice over the years, and she loves to share the harmonizing and transcendental effects of the combination of movement and music in her classes. Finding the universal love and oneness through dance blending with the spiritual awareness of yoga, fusion is the natural progression; creating a sacred space with our own body temples through devotional disciple and practice results in a happy, healthy and holy life.
